"Your alias is the cryptographic key to your institution. It defines your sub-domain (e.g. /MEA) and the format of your student matricules."
Choose a 3–6 digit code as part of registering your school. This becomes your unique link and the prefix for every student matricule (e.g. MEA → MEA26001). Once your school is registered, the alias is cryptographically locked to your institution and powers every PDF, ID card, and transcript the system ever produces.
